I’m a single mom myself and I never really worried about leaving anything behind because a) my kids have their father to take care of them if something happened to me b) my two oldest are at or approaching the age of majority and c) I didn’t think I really had anything to leave behind.

I had never even thought about some of the details until I learned about the Kids Protection Plan, things like who would come pick them up if there was an emergency, how I could pass on stories about my own childhood or my religious beliefs, family photos, etc.

I have a lot of friends who are or were single moms and I’ve been telling them all to at least go through the KPP website and name guardians..at the very least!
