Want to Be in My Book?

Last week I promised to share with you a strategy for dealing with self-limiting thoughts, but it’s going to have to wait because I’ve had a bit of a breakthrough and it’s far more important to share that.

I was looking through some files on my computer and came across a document entitled "What Do I Want My Life to Look Like Today."

It’s dated May 18, 2006.

And, it lays out a daily vision that is remarkably similar to my current lifestyle.  I specified what I wanted to do each day in a normal week.

On the last line, I wrote: "I want to spend the majority of my time creating – sharing my ideas with the world."

It is with greatest of all pleasures I report that I now spend a great majority of my time creating and sharing my ideas.

My updated vision is that I will spend all but the smallest amount of my working time creating and sharing my ideas.

I’ll report back next year on how I’m doing.

Why not take a few minutes right now to write out the exact vision of how you’d like to spend each of your days.  Be bold.

If you sit down to do it and your mind gets cloudy, recognize the cloud as a ball of fear and the cloud will dissipate.

I had a huge breakthrough today with the programs I’m developing and I’ve gotten the most amazingly beautiful vision of a program where I am truly helping families to pass on their whole family wealth, not just their financial assets.

We are doing a little bit of it now with our Priceless Conversations, but the main program is MUCH MORE extensive.

I’ll have a series of Building Family Unity Through Family Wealth Planning books and programs.  The first will be How Savvy Twenty-Somethings Can Make the Most of Their Family Wealth, Live Their Dreams and Serve the World With Passion and Creativity All While Making Their Parents Happy (and What Smart Parents Can Do That They Probably Aren’t)

If you would like to be interviewed for my book, I’m looking to talk with those of you who have grown up in wealthy families and made the most of your family opportunities (whether they are contacts, stories, advice or money opportunities doesn’t matter).

I would also like to hear from parents who are worried that your kids won’t capitalize on the opportunities you are going to leave behind.

Please email me with your story and a couple of paragraphs about why I should hear your story.

Also, please share this with anyone else you might know who could help me gather stories of kids who have taken what their family left them - whether it was contacts, stories, advice, or money - and turned it into something extraordinary.

Now, go take a few minutes and write out what you want your life to look like so that a year from now you can look back and think, Wow, I did it!
